these pieces are drawn in india ink on glossy card stock. the tones are done with chartpak markers (warm gray series). the board i use has a surface similar to a comic backing board, very slick. because of that the marker just sits on top of the paper instead of soaking in. it allows me to get a kind of faux watercolor effect.
